Ousmane Bâ, a Franco-Guinean-Senegalese artist working from Japan, has established himself as a distinctive presence in contemporary international art. Drawing from a rich cultural inheritance that bridges African spiritual practices and Japanese aesthetic philosophy, his work transforms the human body into a conduit between earthly and transcendent realms.
From September 30 to October 20, 2025, Ousmane Bâ takes part in La Galerie du 19M Tokyo, a major exhibition presented at the 52nd floor of the Mori Tower.
Conceived as a space of wonder and dialogue, La Galerie
du 19M brings together artists, artisans, and audiences in an inspiring journey dedicated to the celebration of craftsmanship. For this special Tokyo edition, Ousmane Bâ presents
Les Gardiens des Mondes Invisibles, a monumental work
that invokes Senegalese rabs spiritual totems bridging
the visible and invisible and merges ritual
with contemporary poetics.
